The vinification process for Kakhuri Mtsvane Qvevri is rooted in traditional Georgian methods. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected to ensure only the highest quality fruit is used. Once in the winery, the grapes undergo a gentle crushing.

This wine is then placed in Qvevris—large, clay vessels buried underground—where it ferments naturally with the grape skins  and wine is go through process of aging on skins for six months. This skin contact not only imparts the wine with its distinct amber hue but also enriches the flavor profile, contributing to the complexity and depth of the final product. The Qvevri aging allows for micro-oxygenation, enhancing the wine’s texture and character, resulting in a rich, full-bodied amber dry wine that captures the essence of its terroir.
